His Holiness Kyabgon Gongma Trizin Rinpoche served as the 41st head of the Sakya Order of Tibetan Buddhism, His Holiness the Sakya Trizin.  He is a member of Tibet‘s noble Khon family, which founded the Sakya Order in the eleventh and twelfth centuries. Hence, he carries the blessings of the Sakya Order lineage and he is considered the manifestation of all the Buddha’s transcendent wisdom.  In March 2017, his duties as throneholder of the Sakya lineage were turned over to the 42nd Sakya Trizin, His Holiness Ratna Vajra Rinpoche.  Since then the 41st Sakya Trizin has continued to provide teachings to students throughout the world.
