The Introduction class will provide students with an understanding of basic Tibetan Buddhist concepts and practices. Friday evening will include a slide show and lecture on Tibet and Buddhist culture. Saturday and Sunday will feature teachings on the Four Noble Truths, Generating Bodhichitta, meditation practices, and the Four Great Sects of Tibetan Buddhism, among other topics. Students do not need to have prior knowledge of the subject to attend.

Cost
The cost for the weekend intensive is $140, and includes a simple breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and a catered vegetarian dinner on Saturday.

10:30 AM - Noon: Ven. Thutop: Generating Bodhichitta/Enlightened Mind and Six Perfections.
Noon - 2:00 PM: Lunch break
2:00 - 3:15 PM: Ven. Gephel: Four Schools of Tantra or Mantra
3:15 - 3:30 PM: Tea break
3:30 - 5:00 PM: Ven. Thutop: Shamatha/Single Pointed Meditation and Special Insight Meditation.
5:15 - 6:30 PM: Vegetarian dinner
